What does it mean that God is One and Triune and how do we know He exists?

The Trinity is a mystery that we cannot understand with reason and that we can only know because God has revealed it to us. God himself has gone out in search of man to reveal to him the truth of his Being and his Love. In the history of Israel, he wanted to make it clear that there is a Trinity. one God and not many. That only God is the creator of all that exists, a being of incomparable holiness and greatness, of infinite wisdom and power, eternal, just, faithful and merciful. Through the people of Israel, God taught mankind to worship and love one true God. But God had not yet taken the final step.

The highlight and insurmountable point of the revelation of the mystery of God took place in Jesus Christ. He is true God made man for love of all men, he is God personally present in this world. Jesus revealed itself as the Son The only one of the Father, as the one who has always existed at His side and is one God with Him. Thus we learned that there is only one true God, but that He is the one true God. Father and is Son. The Lord clearly expressed that the Son is distinct from the Father but is one and the same God with Him.

At the same time that Jesus reveals Himself as the Son and shows us the person of the Father, He also speaks to us of another person, of the Holy Spiritand promises us your shipment. The shipment of the Holy Spirit to the Church took place on the day of Pentecost. Thus we have a third party, distinct from the Father and the Son, who is true God like them.
